Powder Room Makeover
In 2020 I worked on a few projects around our home. Getting the laundry room updated has spurred me on to tackle the little powder room off of our kitchen. I had painted this room this deep gold color several years ago and am ready for something lighter. I did the mosaic on the wall years ago too and I will do a separate posting on that.
I also am planning to change out the towel bar and porcelain toilet paper holder.
There were several nail pops in the drywall in this room. Dennis showed me how to fix these. I used a hammer to sink the nail pops back in and then filled the divots with quick-drying drywall mud. Then I sanded it all flat. I cleaned the walls and the trim and baseboards before painting. I started with the trim to brighten and freshen everything up.
I decided to paint this room the same color as the laundry room and the kitchen. I used Sherwin Williams Pro Mar 200 in eggshell finish mixed to Magnolia color Repurposed. I use the old dry sink for extra towels and toilet paper storage.
I chose a black towel hook and toilet paper holder. I love this gray color with my mosaic too! I found the chippy mirror at an estate sale a while ago. I love that some of the silver is off the back of the mirror.
It was a quick little makeover but I love the way it turned out!
