DIY Succulent Typewriter Arrangement
I had found 2 non-functioning typewriters a while ago and had it in my mind to plant them with succulents. But in reality, I don’t have a very green thumb. I tend to forget to water plants and even succulents need water at some point! I happened to have a 20% off entire purchase coupon for Michael’s so I opted to buy faux succulents. Bonus! The succulents were on sale that day too!

First, I gathered all of the things I would need. Each typewriter needed about 7 succulents of various sizes and textures. I had some moss on hand. And I cleaned the typewriters. They had been dug out of a barn so they were pretty dirty.

I fiddled around with the succulents until I had them arranged how I liked. I decided not to glue them in so that I could change out the typewriter if I wanted.

Next, I tucked in some moss around the base of all of the succulents.

I love how they turned out and I don’t have to water! I decided to keep the first one and will take this one to our space at The Painted Sofa in the Historic West Bottoms of Kansas City.

I love mixing vintage items into my home decor to add unique touches! Do you use vintage items in your home decor too?
